Annual Pink Tie Party Kicks Off Springtime in DC

Last night, TCMA (A Drew Company), the exclusive manager of the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center hosted the 11th Annual Pink Tie Party. Celebrating the return of spring, the National Cherry Blossom Festival’s signature fundraiser is the official Festival kick-off event and is known as one of the must-attend social events of the year. The night brought together the best of DC’s influencers and tastemakers from the region showcasing their best pink and cherry blossom-inspired outfits – although no one could upstage the full length gown covered in over 100,000 Swarovski crystals created by Mindy Lam, the local designer who also displayed and sold other custom blossom pieces throughout the night. Guests enjoyed sips and bites from popular DC restaurants (Bantam King, Colada Shop and Farmers & Distillers among others), a 360 degree video booth on the Oculus, a makeup touch-up counter by GLAMSQUAD, a silent auction, Tesla car displays, and a trans-pacific flight simulation from ANA. Party – goers were encouraged to share their #BlossomMoments from the night on social media for a chance to win a pair of roundtrip tickets to Tokyo, courtesy of ANA.

This was the Reagan Building’s fourth year as host venue for the springtime affair of the season. Save the date for next year’s Pink Tie Party: March 15, 2018.
