Open to vessel owners and operators across oceans and inland waterways, the awards honor those leading the way in sustainable practices. The dinner ceremony in Washington, D.C. welcomes distinguished guests, including representatives from the U.S. Coast Guard, Maritime Administration, Department of State, EPA, and other government agencies, alongside members of the Chamber of Shipping of America.

The program will honor outstanding colleagues in the United States and abroad whose reporting has made a powerful and lasting impact.
This year’s dinner will also spotlight ICFJ+, a groundbreaking new partnership with civic tech leader Code for Africa and systems builder PROTO of India, both organizations incubated through ICFJ’s Knight Fellowships. Together, these partners are advancing the concept of civic intelligence—providing people with the trustworthy information they need to better understand their world and take constructive action to shape it.

Since 1992, this event has brought together renowned Arab and American leaders from government, the military, business, and academia to exchange insights and perspectives on the evolving U.S.–Arab relationship. This year’s conference, themed “U.S.–Arab Relations: The Road Ahead,” will feature expert discussions, policy recommendations, and cross-sector dialogue.
